The Per Diem Operating Room Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in the successful clinical support of RECELL® procedures in the operating room. This role involves direct interaction with surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff, ensuring optimal use of RECELL for patients with traumatic injuries, burns, or other skin defects while in the non-sterile field. You will provide intraoperative support, training, and troubleshooting to clinical teams while helping to drive adoption of our technology.

This position is ideal for a motivated healthcare professional with operating room experience, ideally in trauma or burn care, who seeks flexible hours while contributing meaningfully to patient outcomes.

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience as an RN, CST, or similar clinical background.
• Availability for at least two business days per week (flexible per diem schedule).
• Experience supporting surgical procedures in trauma, burn, plastics, or wound care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to travel to various hospitals/clinics within assigned territory.
• Demonstrated comfort with hands-on support in high-pressure clinical settings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport training/demo equipment as needed.
• Experience in burn centers or Level I/II trauma centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert intraoperative clinical support during RECELL procedures across assigned accounts.
• Act as a technical and clinical resource for surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff during product use.
• Ensure proper product preparation and handling in sterile environments.
• Facilitate on-site training and education to healthcare professionals.
• Support trouble-shooting and clinical questions related to RECELL technology.
• Maintain professional documentation of case support, training, and product performance.
• Work is conducted primarily in operating rooms, burn units, and hospital settings.
• Some travel required based on regional needs.
• Per diem flexibility allows for scheduling around other professional commitments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, stand, walk and/or balance, use hands and fingers to type, handle, feel, grasp, push, and pull. Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The individual is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and repetitive motion. The individual is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The individual may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees must demonstrate competency to observe universal precautions for infection control from blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases as required to protect from human blood and certain human body fluids. PPE would include but not limited to gloves, gowns/ aprons, masks/respirators. Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) designated positions will be subject to the federal respiratory protection standard as per 29 CFR 1910.134 requiring medical clearance and a passing Fit test to don a respirator. Additionally, as per the same regulation, facial hair affecting the seal on a tight-fitting negative pressure respirator is not allowable for Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) designated positions.
