The Gig: Learn & Grow is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented LMS & Talent Systems Administrator to oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of our shipboard and shoreside Learning Management Systems (LMS). This role will be responsible for managing relationships with internal teams and external LMS partners, ensuring system functionality aligns with training needs, and driving system enhancements that support seamless learning experiences across the fleet and shoreside teams. This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days. What You'll Be Up To: Serve as the primary administrator for the learning and talent platforms, managing configurations, course uploads, assignments, automation rules, and learning matrix alignment. Own the creation, maintenance, and optimization of learning and talent systems to ensure accurate course assignments, compliance, and renewal tracking. Consult with internal stakeholders on system capabilities by providing demos, mockups, and multiple solution options to inform decision-making. Manage system projects from discovery to implementation, including stakeholder alignment, resource planning, risk mitigation, and adoption strategy. Liaise with system vendors, internal Learn & Growth (L&G) team members, and cross-functional partners to address system needs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, acting as the liaison between management, MXP, and LMS providers. Create, track, and follow up on system tickets to ensure timely resolution of bugs and system enhancements. Conduct regular audits and backend clean-ups to maintain accurate data, improve user experience, and optimize system performance. Develop and implement test cases for system updates, enhancements, and new releases, outlining key parameters and pass/fail scenarios. Liaise with L&G team members, cross-functional stakeholders, and vendors to recommend future enhancements and improvements to content management, workflows, and system functionality. Translate stakeholder needs into Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and user stories that define logic, expected outcomes for new system features and enhancements. Ensure LMS compliance with relevant regulations, data privacy standards, and security requirements. Support the broader HR systems infrastructure, including system updates, software integrations, and performance optimizations. SuperPowers Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 3 years of experience in LMS administration, preferably within a corporate or maritime environment, or equivalent business analyst experience Familiarity with HR tech ecosystems, integrations, and learning technologies, experience with Workday Core HCM, Workday Learning, Workday Talent, Performance Management, and/or MarineXchange a plus Consultative mindset—able to present multiple pathways, lead demos, and partner with non-technical stakeholders to co-create system solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and the ability to work independently in an innovative and fast-paced environment Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support users at all levels of technical proficiency Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language (verbally and in writing). Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set appropriate timelines, clarify expectations, and utilize effective processes/approaches to ensure work is delivered with excellence promptly.
