Description:

Norton Creek, an affiliate of Ayres Lodging Collective, is looking for a motivated and committed candidate to join our laundry attendant team! The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing laundry, assisting customers, maintaining facility cleanliness, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring high-quality standards, all while adhering to safety protocols and supporting team operations.

This position will be working in our laundry facility Super Suds. This is a part time role, with a general schedule of Saturday - Tuesday, 3pm - 9pm.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

Wah, Dry, Fold Serviced (WDF):

• Laundry Processing: Sort laundry by color, fabric, and soil level; inspect for stains or damage.
• Machine Operation: Load/unload washers and dryers; use proper detergents and follow safety protocols.
• Folding & Packaging: Neatly fold, organize, label, and prepare laundry for pickup or delivery.
• Order Management: Track customer items, ensure quality, and document special care needs.

Coin Laundry Attendant (Customer-Facing):

• Customer Support: Assist with machine use, detergent selection, and general questions; provide change or reload cards.
• Facility Maintenance: Clean machines, empty lint traps, disinfect surfaces, and maintain an orderly environment.
• Issue Resolution: Handle complaints, ensure safety, and report suspicious behavior.

General Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance: Follow health/safety protocols and wear PPE when needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work with coworkers and help train new employees.
• Record-Keeping: Log orders, maintenance needs, and supply levels; use Breezeway App for reporting.
• Support Duties: Assist with deliveries and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Facilities Cleaning and Upkeep

• Daily Tasks (via Breezeway):
  • Pick up floor debris; wipe down tables, chairs, and machines.
  • Empty lint traps, trash cans, and mop water properly.
  • Clean detergent drawers; run vinegar wash if buildup is found.
  • Sweep, mop, and dry floors; set wet floor signs as needed.
  • Clean storefront windows inside and out.
  • Ensure all closing/opening procedures are completed and logged.

• High School diploma preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant in a hospitality setting (preferred).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Availability required for accommodating weekend, holiday, and evening responsibilities.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple duties and properties simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure and with minimum supervision.
• Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, climb push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
