Hours: 2pm to 12am

BBSI has partnered with a well-established sand and gravel company in the Inland Empire. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking a skilled  Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a great opportunity to put your expertise to work and grow your career with a trusted company.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of diesel engines and related systems, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues effectively and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
• Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.
• Repair and align brakes, including air brake systems.
• Work on hydraulic systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Maintain electrical systems within diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Transmissions & Clutches
• Welding
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Utilize cranes and other heavy machinery safely during repair processes.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Skilled with diagnostics tools and software.
• Experience with brake repair, particularly air brake systems.
• Welding experience
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; additional certifications in diesel mechanics are a plus.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry advancements.
