Job Description

Type: Contract to Hire (40 hours / week)

Company Overview

Wolf Games is building the  platform for generative entertainment universes —living, ever-expanding worlds where creators, players, and AI collaborate in real time. We're designing the tools, systems, and connective tissue that make these universes possible, and we aim to be the  destination for experiencing them. Our work blends storytelling, gameplay, and advanced AI into a seamless, endlessly evolving creative canvas.

Job Description

We're looking for a Game Designer who thinks in AI-first terms—someone who sees AI not as a helper, but as a creative partner. You'll invent, prototype, and refine gameplay systems in close collaboration with both humans and machines, building experiences that couldn't exist in any other era.

You should thrive in rapid prototyping, collaborative iteration, and cross-disciplinary work. If you've built with advanced AI tools—AI coding assistants, generative asset systems, or procedural content engines—you're already speaking our language.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing innovative mechanics, systems, and content for AI-powered worlds.
  • Prototyping and iterating quickly using AI-assisted workflows.
  • Collaborating with narrative, art, and engineering teams to unify gameplay and story.
  • Integrating AI-driven systems into player experiences, balancing automation with crafted storytelling.
  • Championing AI-first thinking and helping shape our creative processes.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years in professional game design with shipped titles.
  • Proven experience using advanced AI tools (e.g., tools in the vein of Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Lovable, or comparable).
  • Strong portfolio of gameplay systems, levels, or experiences—bonus if AI played a key role.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
  • History of working in small, cohesive teams.

Extra Credit

  • Projects showing creative coding flow with AI—rapidly building in close loops with generative tools.
  • Experience with procedural or emergent game systems.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: The base pay for this role is $45-70 per hour, depending on experience, with a planned 40 hours per week. We highly value transparency and offering competitive pay, based on current market research and employee experience level.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy the flexibility and adventure that comes from being self-directed at a startup.
  • Remote Work: 100% fully remote position.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to establish the product management practice at Wolf Games and lead the group as it expands.
  • Innovative Technologies: Work with the latest generative AI technologies and self-defining software.
  • Creative Ownership: Help define gameplay for an entirely new form of entertainment.
  • Small, Visionary Team: Be part of a tight-knit group defining a new creative medium.

Additional Information

  • Start Date: Position available immediately.
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must have authorization to work in their country of residence, as we are a fully remote company.
  • Equal Opportunity Employer: Wolf Games is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

Join us at Wolf Games and be part of a team that's redefining the boundaries of content and technology. If you're passionate about innovation and eager to make a significant impact across diverse product lines, we'd love to hear from you!
