Job Opportunity Assist the driver in delivering customer orders; assist in loading and unloading products; or drive the pilot vehicle for large loads. You may deliver customer orders using a company van or delivery truck under a GVW of 10,000. The job is performed under the direction of the department supervisor or manager. No commercial drivers license is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with loading and properly securing the product in the delivery vehicle using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. Assist the driver in product deliveries and unloadings at the customers facility. With driver assistance, carry products (e.g., drywall, windows, doors, etc.) to a designated area at the customers location. Deliver customer orders to their location using a company van or delivery truck. Obtain signed proof of delivery. Drive the pilot vehicle for large loads, ensuring compliance with appropriate safety regulations. Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Plan and establish the pace of work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related productivity goals. Understand and comply with all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other tasks may be assigned. Requires a valid drivers license. May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
