Compensation:

$100,000 - $200,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Client Advocacy & Representation

  • Defend clients in criminal matters, including DUIs, domestic violence, sex crimes, drug offenses, and federal cases.
  • Handle all phases of the case from initial intake, arraignment, pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials through resolution or appeal.
  • Develop and execute customized legal strategies that prioritize the client’s best future.

Case Management & Preparation

  • Conduct thorough legal research, depositions, and witness preparation.
  • Draft and file persuasive motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
  • Ensure proactive and timely communication with clients, co-counsel, and court personnel.

Courtroom Excellence

  • Appear confidently and competently in court on a regular basis.
  • Present clear, passionate, and strategic arguments before judges and juries.
  • Adapt and respond effectively under pressure and in adversarial settings.

Client Experience & Communication

  • Build trust and rapport with clients through transparent, frequent, and compassionate communication.
  • Provide realistic, empowering guidance to clients navigating stressful legal situations.
  • Ensure that clients feel seen, heard, and supported at every stage.

Team Collaboration & Culture Contribution

  • Collaborate across departments (intake, support staff, legal, leadership) to provide seamless service.
  • Contribute to firm culture by embodying the RLF Standard and core values in daily actions.

Continuous Improvement & Growth

  • Participate in RLF University training, coaching, and development programs.
  • Regularly reflect on performance, seek feedback, and pursue mastery.
  • Stay current with legal trends, continuing education, and bar requirements.

  • A licensed Florida attorney with 2+ years of criminal defense experience (DUI, sex crimes, federal cases a plus).
  • A fierce advocate who believes in justice and second chances.
  • Detail-oriented, coachable, and hungry to grow personally and professionally.
