Job Description

Job description

Do you want to make an impact in your community in a consistent 9-5 role?

Opportunity Summary:

Silver Lining ABA is looking for full-time Behavior Technicians to work with children with developmental disabilities. This opportunity is an  entry-level position that boasts  full coverage benefits, full-time hours, and consistent schedules with a collaborative team ! There is absolutely no experience required! Our extensive and ongoing training will prepare you for everything required in this role.

New hires at Silver Lining ABA receive two weeks of paid training from experienced BCBAs and Program Managers, start with 40 hours a week of in-clinic work, and receive three opportunities for significant raises within their first year! We support each new hire in a career in ABA by paying to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician and providing fieldwork hours to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst!

About Silver Lining ABA:

Silver Lining is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company that was established over a decade ago by a BCBA with an autistic child and a mother of a child with developmental disabilities. We are a team here at SLG, not just some corporate company. We have weekly, clinic specific staff meetings and training, provide constant support for our team members, and do not require overtime.

Our team impacts a community that is often forgotten and marginilized: children with developmental disabilities such as Autism and Downs Sydrome. We provide a therapy that we know firsthand and often empirically changes the lives of children with disabilities, sometimes within weeks or months of receiving treatment.

We have grown to four clinics in the greater Ohio area: St. Clairville, Westlake, Mansfield, and Columbus, Ohio! Apply below to join any of our teams and locations!

Position Requirements:

Apply to this position if the following applies:

  • High School Graduate or GRE
  • 18 years old or older
  • Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion
  • Have reliable means of transportation

Position preferences:

Competitive Candidates are professional, reliable, and passionate about working with our clients.

The following skills are a plus:

  • Experience working with children with autism, challenging behaviors, emotional support needs, or developmental disabilities and delays.
  • Experience as a paraprofessional, behavior support, emotional support, school aide, classroom aide, TSS, special education classroom support, etc
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong technical skills with basic systems such as email, notes, medical records, etc. on both computer and iPad

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABA Therapy for children at our centers to assist them with improving behaviors and acquiring new skills.
  • Follow specific protocol for each client and implement individualized ABA programs as set by the treatment plan and directed by BCBA or qualified health professional
  • Document client sessions by recording data, writing quality session notes and inputting timesheets
  • Develop strong rapport with the client and family and work with parents to ensure the child is meeting their goals
  • Communicate with supervisors on case updates, changes in schedule, and availability
  • Participate in supervision sessions and team meetings
  • Maintain appropriate professional conduct and boundaries at all times, client confidentiality, and ensure timely communication with families

Logistics and Details:

  • Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurances, parental leave, referral program, paid time off, and paid holidays
  • The schedule is MONDAY - FRIDAY
  • Clinic-based service hours are weekdays from 8:30-5:30
  • Competitive compensation starts at $17-20/hour based off experience
  • Opportunity for increases based on evaluations and promotional opportunities
  • Extensive and ongoing trainings for all staff regardless of experience level
